How to make this game NOT boring
« on: July 21, 2015, 05:25:03 pm »
Guys, I know this gameplay will be kinda like Alex's style (Like Godzilla: Daikaiju Battle Royal), so I need to ask. Tell me, do u get bored with the game sometimes. If so, then we're gonna need to add something that can make this game last. I mean, like, I honestly get bored if I play "Godzilla: Daikaiju Battle Royal" for more than 5-10 minutes. If u feel the same, then comment below and suggest some ideas to stop this from happening.

I think having more game modes, a long story mode, and LOTS of extra's (including the Kaiju Bios) should make it so that game lasts.

Also, LOTS of playable kaiju. I think having lots of kaiju in the game will make it so people want to try out a lot of characters, making the game last a little longer.

I honestly get bored with games sometimes. Godzilla Destroy all Monsters Melee gets boring after like an hour or 2, and GDBR gets boaring when there hasn't been a new update in a while (like a few months), which is why BOA will have frequent DLC content (keyword being "frequent").

I agree @G&G, but this may need a few more, and also good graphics and gameplay.

A few random ideas I think could help:

1. Seeing that the game will be in 2D, I'd suggest taking advantage of that and going for a very stylized art direction.

2. In terms of gameplay, I'd really suggest looking at a lot of feedback for Daikaju Battle Royale, seeing both what was praised and criticized and taking all that into account.

3. I'd take a few notes from CKC, namely really striving to make each character unique. I think Marvel Vs. Capcom style super meters and super attacks could really add to the mix as well.

4. I do like the idea of a deep story mode, and I'd suggest an emphasis on stages where you walk through and destroy an environment before fighting and enemy at the end of the level.

5. I also like the idea of adding lots of extras like character bios. Some gallery art would help as well.

Same @G&G, same. Plus, what I do know that can keep it alive and well, would need to be a good story (I got your back guys, I'm working for that section).

These ideas are great and having bios of the monsters like how the new Godzilla game did would give our monsters a depth of character and purpose in the game. Constant updates are a must to bring new game modes, arenas, and monsters to bring more people in. We should also create challenges like Save the Earth

I've always liked the idea of an underwater stage. I would definitely like to have an underwater stage in BOA.

We should make an under water challenge, but I think its best for certain characters. Kinda like "Godzilla: Save the Earth", where only Godzilla got that stage, and where Mogurea got a space challenge. I think it would have to be different for every type of monster.

I actually don't think there will be a challenges mode in BOA.

I think the key to keep people playing is new content being added every month or so
